Connecting from home...

Updated June 3rd 2009

You can connect to our school network from home using your username via "RM Easylink".  You don't need any special software on your home PC. Internet Explorer works in most cases. You can also use NetDrive instead to access your documents.

Easylink allows you to access your My Documents folder, the shared Learning Resources and our Intranet.

Although the school has anti virus software checking all files, we recommend that you also have an anti virus application at home.

Symptoms

Cause

Known issue...
When you follow the link to RM Easylink you get an error warning about a security certificate, please ignore this and continue to the actual login page.

Working with your files
Once you're connected and can see the files you want to work with, copy them to your home computer and work on them. Don't try to double click and open them direct from our school network. Right click on the file (or folder) you want, then copy or "save file as" to a location on your home computer. Work on the file and then save it back to school.
